"Tolerant" Democrat Congressman attacks free speech

Rep. Yarmuth, you shoulda waited before attacking the free speech rights of American teens. It didn't take long for even CNN to backtrack and tell the WHOLE story. Highlights --

Students from all-male Catholic (read: pro-life) school visit D.C. to participate in the March for Life. Afterwards, they wait for their bus at the Lincoln Memorial. Wearing their MAGA hats.

Black Muslims harass them, flinging homosexual slurs, because their school is all-male.

The students backtalk but make no move to physically start anything. They ask their chaperone if it is okay for them to sing their school song, and permission is granted.

Along comes Native American drum-beating chanter, who marches into the group of students and gets right into the face of one of them, barely missing hitting him with his drum and drum-banger, whatever it's called.

Student confronted by the "elder" stands where he is smiling, says nothing, does nothing.

There are several videos online. You need to see more than one to grasp everything that happened.

The students did NOTHING racist, nothing scary, nothing hateful, nothing poisonous.

See, this it just another leftist politician trying to get some attention and mileage by making something out of nothing.

Thanks, Congressman, for adding -- for no good reason -- to the existing division in the country for your own political benefit.

These kids were called "nasty little white boys" at the other forum. Deep hatred over there; couldn't wait to find out the whole story. Just drum up hatred, because Trump.

I agree with Starnes; "Let’s hope the families sue every news agency that falsely reported the story."

Sort of too bad they can't sue private citizens trying to stir up hatred for their sons on the Internet.

Interesting. I wonder what HIS take was on this hateful display of anti-Trump, anti-Kavanaugh "protesters" harassing an old man. At least the "nasty little white boys" didn't try to knock the drum out of the elder's hands. This old gentleman is doing nothing but standing there, holding signs. No banging a drum. No chanting. What is it in the two hateful harassers that causes their despicable behavior? Oh, but leftists would never do anything so mean! Only nasty little white boys in MAGA hats are mean like that.

Found this on another forum. It is enough to make me completely suspicious of the claims against the MAGA hat boys (emphasis mine):

On 18 January, 2019, during the March for Life in Washington, D.C., another much smaller event was also scheduled. It was the first Indigenous Peoples March.  The video at the link shows there may have been a couple of hundred at the march, compared to many thousands at the 46th March for Life.

Nathan Phillips, an Oklahoma elder and Native American activist, was drumming and chanting during the two events. He moved away from his group and approached a group of pro-life teenagers, some of who were wearing MAGA hats.

The video can be seen below. Phillips gets right into the young man's personal space. It appears Phillips is trying to intimidate him, to get him to move or flinch, or push back. At one point Phillips drum appears to touch the young man's shoulder. Phillips beats the drum literally in the young man's face.  The drum stick is flashing by, only inches from his nose. At the same time, Phillips is chanting/screaming directly into the young man's face.  It appears to be an attempt at provocation by Phillips.

The young MAGA hat wearer refuses to be intimidated or provoked into a reaction that can be used against him.

It does not matter. The Washington Post runs a story claiming the young MAGA hat wearer showed disrespect by "smirking" at Phillips.

Phillips was involved in another incident in Michigan, where he claimed to have been disrespected. No evidence but his testimony was apparent. From his account, he appears to have provoked any incident that might have happened in Michigan.

At newsmaven.io/indiancountrytoday, the writer tries to portray the incident as teenagers in MAGA hats ridiculing, mocking, and taunting Phillips.

Some of the commenters there watched the video and are not buying the "mocking" narrative.

    No disrespect seen by the kids. The elder activist confronted THEM, while they were minding their own business, broke away from the march. They said and did nothing racist or demeaning, just danced and tried to chant along, or stood silently in their discomfort and tried to have a good time in spite of not knowing just how to react to a grown man approaching them whose culture they were not part of. Bullying and hating on these kids by the leftist agenda divisive SJWs at ICTMN is the abuse here. And I am native.

Watch the video, make up your own mind. Social Justice Warriors are piling on. They have given out the number of the school the  teens came from. They claim to identify the teen who silently stood and endured the provocation by Phillips.

This is a creating of an outrage from nothing, unless you consider the obvious provocation by Phillips.  It was created for the media, to show the power of the left to intimidate and cower anyone who is not in one of their favored identity groups.

Note: I listened to the entire video above of the elder drumming and I didn't hear any chanting, "We want the wall." But if they had been, so what? The boys were there in that space first, and he encroached upon them. It looks like he was trying to stir up an incident ... and, of course, the leftist media will gladly promote anything to make white males look bad.

P.S. The question from the other forum illustrates soooo perfectly the totally thoughtless group-think, the identity politics of the left. Because I have Cherokee ancestry, I'm supposed to automatically, without thought, support the Native American? But what if the Native American is wrong?

No, I prefer to find out who, if anyone, is at fault. And right now, the elder's behavior doesn't look all that superior to the nasty little white boys in MAGA hats. 

Banned for Life!

I was recently banned from a forum where the visceral hatred of Trump is palpable. The haters say that what they feel about Trump isn't hatred, it is contempt or some such term, and that is not hate.  Sorry, to me, that's quibbling. What they are expressing is hatred, pure and simple.

They fall for any lie -- the old standbys like Trump mocked the disabled, to the very latest. I didn't see anyone attempt to substantiate the lies. They use disgusting language to describe Trump, his supporters and anyone they disagree with.  These presumably adult humans believe every syllable of the "Russian collusion" meme.

Some of them think he's a Putin puppet. Some think he's a Russian agent. Can you believe it?

They are ultra-leftists and seem to harbor extreme animosity for anyone who believes differently. That would, of course, be moi. They have the proper leftist attitude in all the categories -- racism, sexism, homophobia, trans, etc.

They not only hate Trump, they despise his supporters and consider them to be be just a step above sub-human. Some of them hate Christianity and "evangelicals". And some who display this hatred purport to be Christians.

They are supreme liars, and they lied a lot about me and things I said -- even when it was right there on the forum and could be looked up to disprove their accusation.

There is a lie about me still on the forum, although the threads I posted on were deleted (very mature, adult male thing to do, huh). One fellow said he couldn't resist commenting on this "lie" of mine -- "All feminists are man haters." Problem is, I didn't say that. I said the core of feminism is hatred of men.

If you can cogitate normally, you see what this guy is not picking up on. Not all who embrace feminism embrace the totality of it, including its core. Some women fall for the equality shtick of feminism and that's the extent of their feminism.

But that is the kind of thing that happened with me over there all the time. Lied about, often, and badly.

They called me a troll because I when I was attacked, I defended myself or I counter-attacked. I wasn't there just to stir up trouble as they thought, but to express opinions they didn't agree with and to critique their opinions that I didn't agree with. Who wants to be on a forum where everyone agrees? But they were affronted that I disagreed, and expressed it ... they got mad about it. Grown men....

If the Gillette babes had found these guys, they wouldn't have made a commercial about toxic masculinity -- it would have been about toxic puerility. These guys were rude, they bore false witness, they said some truly stupid things, and generally showed their contempt for what most people consider to be goodness and decency and they were extremely childish about it.

I got a warning from the unseen moderator that I had crossed the line when I expressed the opinion that some of my forum-mates were so obsessed with other people's "sins" because they weren't completely convinced of their own moral authority. I got a pop-up nasty-gram-- a warning, I guess -- and I wasn't able to post for a couple of days.

During one marathon thread -- I don't even remember what it was about, except to say there was no doubt a lot of Trump hatred spewed all over, I made a comment about Rashid Tlaib, the freshman congresswoman who called Trump a MFer. I called her a newly elected skank.  That word can mean a sorry woman, a promiscuous woman ... but it also means "a sleazy or unpleasant person," and I meant it in the second definition.  She was sleazy for using the term she did, and she is an extremely unpleasant person.

Nevertheless, the next time I tried to log on, this popped up on my computer screen.

So now I'm out, forever. Pretty silly, unmanly reason for banning somebody, if you ask me, considering the filth and vile crap spewed at Trump over there day in and day out. Can you say "double standard"?

I visited and posted on that forum for several reasons. Partly, it just appealed to my pure cussedness; but it was also extremely instructive. I have not interacted on a a leftist forum for about a decade. If you haven't been around it in a while, it can come as a breathtaking surprise that there are people who genuinely believe leftist hogwash.

I can't help but wonder if they really do believe it, though. If they have even thought it out. They accuse rightwingers of getting their news from Fox and Alex Jones, and of mimicking Breitbart talking points or whatever.  What they're doing without realizing it, probably, is they're revealing   who tells them what to believe -- the leftwing media.

It's just as well the Unknown Moderator kicked me off. I have way too many things I need to be doing -- Little Sister to finish, this blog to revive, flyers to print and copy and hand-out downtown, and others to make for patriots in other places, plus my author services jobs.

Still, it was satisfying to know that the leftist claims of tolerance are false as granny's teeth, and their viewpoints are laced with visceral hatred. So, we can't save our country from its demise -- that has already occurred -- but we'd better pray mightily what what's left of it does not fall into the hands of leftists with power. These are not-nice people and they believe humanity's most dangerous ideology.

Confederate Blogging in the Era of Trump

The header of this blog says, "Defending Dixie -- Commentary on pro-Southernism and Southern Culture --  Confederate history, heritage and activism -- religion, politics and America's pop culture -- and whatever else I feel like writing about."

The emphasis has always been on -- and will remain on -- Confederate history, heritage and activism, primarily because that it remains under attack by the forces of the left; but I cannot resist participating more in the ideological battle the whole country finds itself in now. Of course, the forces that are out to destroy the USA have been at work for generations, but in recent decades they have gained much power.

My participation in this ideological battle is not undertaken from any hope of winning, and saving the USA from destruction. It's already way too late for that ... in fact, from my point of view, the country has already been destroyed. It doesn't exist anymore. The left has won, and thus, what awaits us is the fate of all countries wherein the left wins -- a fate worse in some places than others. But in every case it is destruction; it is bad for human beings; and, sooner or later, it is suffering and death.

The best we can hope for is for parts of the country and its founding basis to be preserved -- and I hope the South will be one of those parts. I am a seasoned citizen, and I likely won't live to see the ultimate fate of the country -- but I can spend what time I have left undermining the leftist forces of suffering and death in whatever way I can, and spitting in the eye of destruction. I'll do that from time to time on this blog.

The look of the blog will likely change a bit, particularly the content of the sidebars.

Trump's wrong on this one

For all the, um, men on a forum I was recently a member of who are suspicious that they will show up on this blog, keep your shirts on.

I have other fish to fry right now.

Specifically, Trump's Attorney General nominee, William Barr.

Barr defended Lon Horiuchi, the scumbag FBI sniper who shot Vicky Weaver in the back at Ruby Ridge while she was holding her baby, which there was absolutely no reason for him to do.

Horiuchi was at the Waco siege, too. Who knows how many Branch Davidians he shot and killed, also without reason.

He was a member of the FBI's elite "HRT" -- hostage rescue team. I don't know how the FBI defines "hostage rescue" but at Ruby Ridge and Waco, it seemed that they "rescued" hostages by killing them.

Horiuchi kept his cushy job with FBI after a slap in the wrist.

Ruby Ridge and Waco are the two primary reasons why I lost all respect for the FBI and have never recovered it -- and don't plan to.  Everything that has come out about the FBI in the recent past -- protecting Hillary Clinton's crimes and corruption, for example -- show that the agency is cruddy with the putrid slime of fraud and corruption. Americans are not safe with this malevolent beast as part of our government. 

Barr will probably be approved, more's the pity. 

This is the second time I have disagreed with Trump. The first was the missile strike on Syria. That turned out to not set off the catastrophe I thought it would. I don't have that much hope for AG Barr, though.

Kincaid-Jordan Wedding

On June 4, 2002, Ainsley Anne Kincaid and John Mark Jordan were married in a traditional ceremony at the Forsythe Street Baptist Church in Verona, Georgia. She is the daughter of Kurt and Gina Kincaid, missionaries in Central America, and he is the son of Dale and Carol Jordan, all of Verona. Mr. Jordan, pastor of the church, officiated at the wedding.
