Great News!

Trespassing lawsuit against Tripp Lewis dismissed!

From Tripp on Facebook:
Oh Goodness Gracious have you heard the news? My charge of Trespassing was dismissed this morning in court. Court was scheduled for 9:30am but the kids and I were there at 9:00am. The Commonwealth attorney and my attorney were both early at
9:10am so in we went. At 9:17am we left the court room with what I consider a victory! Dismissed!! While instructing my attorney on how I would like him to attack the retreating enemy we saw "sweat suit guy" (Rick Peasants) heading into the court room. I wonder how long he sat in there before he realized he was late for the party?

I would like to thank everyone for your words of support and for those who helped with a financial donation to the defense fund. This is not just my victory but our victory! The true victor though is that of the Confederate Soldier and his good name.

Plans are in the works to counter strike.. Stay tuned.
Thanks, Tripp, for keeping us informed.

And now....

  1. It also appears that the case was dismissed as prearranged in a plea agreement several months ago. Tripp was also told to stay off of VMFA property, in that he is not to come within so many feet of its employees. Tripp is being pretty dishonest in his "victory" post, and it would seem you are as well by ignoring those factors. Typical.

  2. I'm starting to wonder if 'Brooks Simpson' might be more than one person posting under that name? He might have a group using his name to post on various blogs and groups.

  3. I didn't ignore anything. I simply didn't include "those factors," because they've already been reported earlier, by Tripp himself. You gave some details here that weren't in my post, indicating that you already know that part of the incident. Why repeat what's already been covered?

Also note, he didn't objectively declare victory. He said it is "what I consider" a victory!

That phrase, "what I consider" is going to be totally, thoroughly ignored by Tripp-bashers ... though why there should even BE Tripp-bashers, (especially considering who they are) is mystifying.

  4. Lying by omission. Isn't that your thing?

And you also reinforced, "Why I consider" with your title, "Great News"

  5. Also, why exactly is Brooks and Andy, "eating crow."

Aside from Carl's idiotic comment, where exactly have they been proved wrong in all this?

  6. Rob, honey-bun, if you don't like how I write about these things, you don't have to read it, you know.

BTW, but there never was any restriction about Tripp staying away from VMFA property. He has continued to flag every week and I'm told he was out today.

The restriction was about the private residences of VMFA officials. He had never been near their homes, anyway, and the restrictions ended when the charges were dismissed.

  7. The charges were dismissed after he fulfilled the obligations of the plea bargain. I also did not say he had to stay away from the VMFA, i said he had to stay away by connection to specific members of the board. Which means when they were there, he could not be. I just think it's funny that you spend so much time attempting to smear Brooks for "lying by omission," while doing quite a lot of it...this post being a prime example.

Also, you did not answer the question.

  8. I haven't lied by omission, Rob. I simply didn't re-post what has already been posted online by Tripp (and others, for all I know).

Reinforced "why I consider"? Nobody has used that phrase.

Brooks and Andy are eating crow not for being wrong, per se, but for their barely concealed glee over Tripp's trouble and their inordinate interest in it, having posted about it repeatedly.

  9. Then they aren't "eating crow" as it were. If they do have "concealed glee," they continue to do so given the hurdles Tripp crossed in order to get the charges dismissed.

  10. Like I said, Rob, if you don't like what I write on my blog, don't read it.

  12. To those that hang the Confederate Flag: The Confederate Flag is a Flag of oppression to most sane and fair minded people. It is representative of an economy that was formed and sustained on the bondage of slavery and the States purported rights to enslave people like livestock for their selfish gain. Shame on you for purporting this legacy. Put yourselves in the place of the slaves and you will see the injustice of this premise maintained as States rights of the South. Richmond is beyond your past 150 yr. old mentality and this display shows your arrogance and indifference to all mankind that want a World where there is equality, fairness, and justice for all. You display your lack of class and civility to all by flying the confederate flag. In the name of God, please give up the ghosts of slavery and move on to the 21st Century.

  15. I would think it similarly inappropriate for the Imperial Japanese flag and a Nazi flag (both from the World War II era) to be flown over Japanese embassies (especially in Beijing and Seoul and perhaps at the Japanese consulate in Honolulu) and over German embassies (especially throughout Europe). These flags invoke memories such as the Rape of Nanjing, the Holocaust, concentration camps, etc., as the Confederate flag brings to mind slavery, racial prejudice, and the suggestion that the wrong side won the U.S. Civil War. Whatever one's personal convictions, invoking these memories serves to foster hate, divisiveness, and the worst instincts in the worst sorts of people. Yes, it is a bit like yelling "fire" in a bar crowded with mean drunks.

  20. It is a laughable farce that there are those who continue to wail and whine about slavery as if it existed only in the CSA. Do these idiots not recognize that slavery was legal in the USA just as it was in the CSA?
