  2. McPherson read hundreds of letters like this and concluded that Confederate soldiers weren't fighting to keep slavery. Yet the history-indoctrinated -- and I mean both students AND teachers today, a century and a half later -- want us to believe THEM, and not Confederate soldiers...

    Ah, no. The answer is no. We believe the soldiers.
