A Couple of Questions for BParks
I will have more to say about and to BParks and her comment that appears following They Keep Pushing and Pushing and Pushing, but I'm busy right now, so I'll just pose a couple of questions to her.

No secrets here. The Constitution not only garauntees freedom for all but says nothing about the nationalism you seem to defend. There is no forced language or culture requirements. This is a melting pot and all are equal. Even anti-American sentiment is protected. No one is forced to salute a particular flag, or sing an anthem or say a pledge. You don't like that. You want your beliefs and language to become a requirement and that goes against the whole American way. And in regards to your other comment, you know what ypu have stated about rape accusers. Also you idolize slave owners and soldiers who raped African American women held in bondage as well as some white southern women to I suspect.

I don't? I don't salute any flag, I don't sing any anthem and I don't say any pledge, or put my hand over my heart. Why on earth would I want to force others to do what I don't do? If people want to do that, fine with me. If they don't want to do it, fine with me.

Link to where I have advocated such? I simply don't want my culture overrun and wiped out -- and I have good and logical reasons for wanting that.
And in regards to your other comment, you know what ypu have stated about rape accusers.
I have stated that they are accusers and remain accusers until and unless they are proven to be victims -- which means until the accused are proved to be rapists. I believe in the presumption of innocence. Do you? A person is not a rapist just because some accuser says he is. It has to be proved. Do you have a problem with that? Do you think men should be arrested and sent to prison on the say-so of some accuser? And what if they are falsely accused, and did not rape anybody? Should they still be arrested and imprisoned without due process? That is the notion implied in calling an accuser a rape victim before it is proved.

Got a link to said idolization? Got a link to reliable, primary historical documentation of said rapes?
If you're going to make accusations about me, you need to be prepared to substantiate them. Otherwise, you're stating your opinion, which is worth ... exactly nothing. I have quite a body of writing on my blogs, in my novels and on Facebook. They can all be electronically searched, so you have no excuse for not proving what YOU SAY I have said (like "idolization" of slave owners/rapists).
Now. Since you didn't answer them, I'll ask again:
1. What liberties "proposed" by the U.S. Constitution do I "blindly rage against?"(BTW, they're not "proposed" by the Constitution. They're SECURED by it.)
2. What rapists do I and/or have I supported?
BParks has said I continually present a slanted agenda that is in direct contrast to the U.S. Constitution and I blindly rage against the very liberties it proposes (although it doesn't really propose liberties, it secures the blessings of liberty).

That's it. Those are all the places where "liberty" appears in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Amendments.
Folks, let's help BParks out here. People who read my blog, books or Facebook, identify where I have raged against depriving somebody of their liberty without due process.

ReplyDeleteBottom line: I welcome progress. Most of the country does too and recent elections show a radically changing country. Out with the old ways and in with the new. That's how we evolve as a nation into a better nation. Civil rights are being followed by gay rights. Gender equality is being followed by economical equality. Barriers continue to be broken and wrongs are being righted now more than ever.
We believe this is all for the betterment of mankind. You don't. Keep living in the past and longing for a mythological world that never existed in the first place.

Apologies for the typos in the above post. Getting used to the new wireless keyboard. Keys have a different feel than what I'm used to -- their sensitivity is different. You sometimes press a key thinking it put the character on the screen, but it didn't. Sometimes it puts the character twice.
