..."I disagree with what you say, but I defend to the death your right to say it, " are OVER.
The land of the free, and the home of the brave? Nope. Not any more.

Simpson Expects a Rant?
Aw, too bad all he's gonna get is truth to counter his lies. I guess he's really, really PO'd that I questioned the intelligence found on flogger blogs -- including his.
David Tatum compares women to dogs? Tatum was talking about Kristen Konate's offering to buy a ticket to Africa (to the country of her, Konate's, choice) for Virginia Flagger Karen Cooper.
Konate, remember, is the woman who threw tantrums over the I-95 Battle Flag memorial (which, btw, is still there, and quite visible, and getting visibler all the time -- and no great calamity has befallen Richmond as a result). She also put her own address online and then accused a couple of Virginia Flaggers of doing it.
So at his new blog, "Bazzackwards" (lol!) Tatum takes her to task for her remarks about Karen.
http://bazzackwards.blogspot.com/2014/04/she-said-what.html
David concludes the post with, "Now then had a Flagger said something like that Brooks would be all over it, but since it was one of his lackeys it's OK ! Simpson, ya need to put a muzzle on yer mutt !"
So in his current News and Notes rant (amazing what ths learned professor considers to be news iddinit?), Simpson attempts some keister-covering with, "Anyone who goes to the comment in question can see that I reacted to the comment, which I thought was, to use the words of Ms. Chastain, “inappropriate.”"
Look at this snot-slick glibness, chirren, and learn. He did indeed react to the comment, but he is NOW trying to palm off the notion that his "reaction"(his comment) included his "thought" that Konate's statement was "inappropriate."
So he "thought" it was inappropriate? So the heck WHAT? He expects his comment thread viewers to READ HIS FLIPPIN' MIND? If he THOUGHT it was "inappropriate," why didn't he POST that it was inappropriate?
In any case, for whatever reason, he didn't post that thought. Andy Hall posted it. What Simpson did was to attack Karen Cooper. Said he,
See?
And then Konate attempts to cover HER cheeks with this:
So Simpson "fights back" by saying David called a woman a dog. Well, no, he called her a mutt, which CAN mean dog. It can ALSO meant something ELSE:
Do you suppose a learned college professor doesn't KNOW this? I mean, you'd think someone who loves to denigrate other people's intelligence the way he does would be familiar with all the put-downs, wouldn't you?
Or is he continuing to assassinate his own intelligence for the sake of denigrating Tatum, an outspoken Southern heritage supporter?
David's right, but he doesn't go far enough. If a Flagger or supporter had said said the same thing, Simpson would be MORE than "all over it." The nails-on-a-blackboard screeching reverberating across the floggosphere from central Arizona would make your skin crawl...
And the stench of hypocrisy that accompanies it would burn your rhinal cavities raw....
In fact, it already does.

Floggosphere Reacts to "Racism"
Somebody (who may or may not beconnected to Southern heritage) used the term "colored" or "Negro" instead of "African-American" and the usual suspects at the usual flogs reacted in the usual way ... cuz dat be racis', don'tcha know.
Flogger "outrage" over "racism"

Assassinating Their Own Intellect...
...For the Pleasure of Denigration and Slander
My regular readers know that I have for some time skewered the floggers and their followers, especially Simpson, for their contemptible attacks on the intelligence of people they hate, especially Southern heritage folks.
Since my early days on the Internet, I've tried to avoid doing the same thing. It's easy to pop out with, "You idiot!" and I've fallen to the temptation before, though my attempts cannot possibly equate to the ugliness and nastiness of the same thing perpetrated by leftists. But I've grown less and less tempted to do it with time, because it doesn't prove, or disprove, one's argument. Moreover, after watching the floggers and floggerettes do it for several years now, I find it both ugly and repulsive, and I don't want to contribute to that.
Besides, I assumed that Simpson and his peanut gallery were of average intellect or above, and their odious comments could be chalked up to the lack of integrity, not the lack of intelligence. So I've stuck with attacking and ridiculing their paucity of honor.
But I've had to re-think that. The way they grow studiedly oblivious to common sense in order to namecall (with "racism" being slightly more popular than "stupid" or some variant thereof), makes them look like the stupid ones. And how smart is it to make yourself look stupid?
Lemme show you what I mean.
Who would argue that Brooks D. Simpson, Professor of History and Arizona State University, is not a brilliant man? Of course he is. He's shrewd, clever and incisive.
Or is he?
What person of average or higher intelligence would get on his own blog and make himself look idiotic, or at least ignorant, just for the pleasure of slandering people he doesn't like?
Unless he's already put up a newer one, his current post at Crossroads is a photo essay -- actually, I should say a screenshot essay -- that proves, with unimpeachable evidence (people's Facebook contacts -- >smirk< ...No, I'm not making this up!) that certain people he hates are ... wait for it; are you ready? -- RACIST!
>Gasp!<
Whoaaaa!!! I'm dumbstruck by the brillance!
He starts with the current lyin' media's frenzied claim that Clive Bundy is a racist for his remarks about minorities. I address that in a Backsass page HERE.
So then Simpson moves on to Michael Hill, president of the League of the South, and some comments he posted on Facebook recently. Both Simpson and the Texas scalawag, Andy Hall, feature screenshots of it on their flogs. I'll deal with the Crossroads copy-cat post here, and decide later whether Andy Hall's hate is worth blogging about.
Here is Hill's post.
Simpson follows it with, "You would think that high-minded advocates of Confederate heritage, people who argue that they aren’t racists, would drop Mr. Hill like a hot potato. So let’s see who he counts among his Facebook friends this morning:"
Why? Why would anyone think that? Why would anyone do that? People with common sense and even the most basic knowledge of Facebook understand that being FB friends with someone doesn't mean you think exactly like whoever you friend, or whoever friends you.
I mean, people who can evaluate Facebook with even rudimentary intelligence understand that there are myriad reasons for friending someone; and they also know that Facebook friendship isn't necessarily the same thing as offline friendship, as explained by Dictionary.com:
So a friend list on Facebook is a LIST OF CONTACTS.
I am FB friends with many writers, some of whom write erotic romance, which I do not write and do not agree with or approve of. I do not accept author services jobs at Word Slinger Boutique for erotica, erotic romance and related subjects. My website clearly states, "...we will not knowingly promote pornography, erotica, same-sex or multiple partner romance, or portrayals of pre-marital or extra-marital sex as acceptable and positive, or stories that encourage rape, incest, or bestiality, or portray reward, profit or benefit from illegal, immoral behavior."
Yet I'm Facebook friends with some authors who write such as this.
Why? Because online writers' communities pass along information about publishing, self-publishing, writing advice, tips about helpful software, promo and marketing, etc... To be FB friends with an erotic romance writer, to share writing, publishing or promo information he or she has posted, does not mean I embrace erotica. And I don't "drop them like a hot potato" when they post information about their latest erotic romance release -- but for sure I don't promote it, either.
Most people with sense understand this.
Simpson follows his initial idiotic observation with screenshots of various images of Hill's friend list, showing people who are Facebook friends with him, some of whom are Southern heritage supporters, and continues his increasingly idiotic commentary
You can pretty much guess who shows up on the list. Simpson identifies one of 'em as … the person who says she really doesn’t like the League of the South really likes Mr. Hill … twice, in fact ...Sweet, sweet Connie …
He follows that with a couple of lame attempts to smear Susan Hathaway and Michael Givens that may appear clever, to those who have amputated their common sense, but he ruins it all with a lie at the end, "So y’all continue to stand by your man, folks. Just like you did with Matthew Heimbach."
Hilarious! Nobody stood by Heimbach, and everyone knows this except deluded leftist critics.
I, of course, don't attempt to answer for anyone but myself -- the people Simpson is attempting to slander with the ludicrous notion that Facebook friendship equals mental clonehood, are more than capable of answering for themselves, if they think Simpson's childlike accusations are worth it, which they probably don't.
But I do like showing him to be the liar he is so I'll answer for myself.
I've already made clear on this very blog how I feel about the turn the League has taken (Phone Booth Conventions), and while I may reject some views of Hill, Cushman and the new Southern nationalist movement, I agree with others. But even if I disagreed with all of them, I wouldn't suddenly start hating these folks. They are Southerners. They are my people, and I hold them in impersonal but genuine regard for that reason alone. They would have to do something truly, deeply egregious to destroy my regard.
To understand why I will not remove myself from Michael Hill's FB friend list because of Simpson's disgusting attempts to smear, recall this scene from Star Trek, The Search for Spock. As the Genesis planet self-destructs, Klingon Kruge has everyone beamed up to his ship except himself, Kirk, and the unconscious Spock.
And now on to some idiotic floggerette peanut gallery comments:
From Rob "Tu Quoque" Bakur -- What’s interesting in this respect, is that Hill is fairly well known in this Heritage/Southern States’ Rights crowd, that people would seek him out to send that friend request. I’d be interested to know who he sought out, believing that they think like him.
How do you know he sought out everyone on his friend list? There are various methods for friending on Facebook -- I've received numerous bot announcements telling me to try "Friend Finder." I don't know how these apps choose people for you to friend, or whether Dr. Hill used one. But ya know what? I'd venture to guess Bakur doesn't know that, either.
Roger E.Watson -- Where’s Billy ? He’s one of those “White Devils” !! ;-)
Ridiculous. Billy's an angel -- part honeycomb, part mighty Georgia oak. A sweet Southern man. He is put in flogger crosshairs a lot because he's handsome and effective, and Southern heritage folks esteem him. He's a wonderful example of why minorities who've been goaded by their leaders to hate whitey -- even to "kill whitey", as Liberty Lamprey's graphic meme puts it -- are wrong.
(Next buncha Bundy comments >snipped<.)
Al Mackey sez, "Mr. Rodent has claimed, “My own views on Southern Nationalism and my lack of patience with it are well documented.” [http://studycivilwar.wordpress.com/2014/04/18/the-shpg-strikes-again/comment-page-1/#comment-5728] ... Apparently, Mr. Rodent thinks he can talk the talk, but he certainly doesn’t walk the walk. As I responded to him, “we are known by those with whom we choose to associate. There’s an old saying, “Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas.” Talk is cheap … . Actions speak louder than words.”
What walk? What actions? Is Carl a member of the League? Has Dr. Hill ever posted on Carl's wall? Has Carl ever posted on Dr. Hill's wall? Or the League's FB wall? If so, WHAT DID THEY SAY, AL?
Do you, a man of supposedly average intelligence, truly, honestly define clicking the "accept" button on a Facebook friend request to be ASSOCIATING WITH?
I would challenge Al to post on his blog all the "associating with" between Dr. Hill and Carl, but it would be a waste of time. He won't do it, even if he could find something to construe as an "association." And if he COULD find something, I would challenge him show us that it constitutes agreement with "racism" (however it is Mackey conceptualizes that) and not just agreement with Dr. Hill's deep affection and high regard for his region, or his taste in music, or any number of other factors.
See? Mackey's not gonna do that.
Next, several of them have a floggasm -- over my recent post about the war-as-murder meme and an error I made about a book with that theme, and for which I apologized -- that was fun to watch.
This is followed by Andy Hall showing his ongoing fascination with and contempt for Gary Adams and the SHPG. Nothing stirs the righteous anger of a self-appointed civil war thought cop like like Gary and the SHPG ... unless it's Susan and the VaFlaggers (or Hill and the LOTS, or Cushman and the SNN, or Givens and the SCV....)
As of this writing, the last person to post a comment is none other than Wonder Woman herself, Kristen Schroeder Konate, who sez:
Oh my. The Confederate Carnival is a comic strip that just keeps on giving. I’ve never seen such a circus of characters go at it. It’s a mass pileup of hysteria – someone’s white hood flew out of their backpack and they’re scurrying like roaches.
Is that not hilarious?
I love to read this broad's comments. Her dim understanding of metaphor, other figures of speech, and especially sarcastic namecalling, is truly mystifying. Her "flaggerettes" is obviously a ripoff of my "floggerettes" but has no logical connection to Flaggers as mine does to floggers.
Perhaps she needs a little education on "ette".
There are no Flaggerettes, only Flaggers, and no logical basis for employing the hypocoristic form.
And don't you just love her mixed metaphors?
A comic strip that just keeps on giving...
What a scream!
I've hesitated to point out Konate's verbal idiocy before, trying to be nice, which is more than you can say for her -- but it's time for me to step up to the plate and lay my cards on the table. After all, she makes it as easy as shooting monkeys in a barrel.
What I don't understand, though, is how she conceptualizes what she claims. I mean, who is scurrying like roaches? I'm still here. The VaFlaggers are still in Virginia, flagging. (Boy, howdy, are they flagging! They're, like, flagging ... like, on steroids!) The SHPG is still on Facebook.
Where has everyone scurried to? They all seem to be present and accounted for.
I suspect Konate is just trying to impress her learned flogger and floggerette friends. (Snicker, snicker...)
After all, it's not hard to impress people who have amputated their common sense. In fact, it's as easy as falling off a piece of cake.
My regular readers know that I have for some time skewered the floggers and their followers, especially Simpson, for their contemptible attacks on the intelligence of people they hate, especially Southern heritage folks.

Kirk: You should take the Vulcan, too.It can also be explained by the pure cussedness I inherited from my Southern Appalachian forebears. I ain't doing it because you think I should, Simpson. And your integrity is going to have to take a sky-rocketing rise, due up, before anything you say shames or motivates me.
Kruge: No.
Kirk: But why?
Kruge: Because you wish it!

From Dictionary.com:Thus, "floggerette" is a hypocoristic form taken from "flogger," and indicates Simpson mouthpieces, comment bots and others who hang around the Crossroads comment thread echo chamber.
-ette
a noun suffix occurring originally in loanwords from French, where it has been used in a variety of diminutive and hypocoristic formations ( brunette; cigarette; coquette; etiquette; rosette ); as an English suffix, -ette, forms diminutives ( kitchenette; novelette; sermonette ), distinctively feminine nouns ( majorette; usherette ), and names of imitation products ( leatherette ).
There are no Flaggerettes, only Flaggers, and no logical basis for employing the hypocoristic form.

Odds & Ends -- April 21, 2014
What did William Porcher Miles REALLY say about the battle flag design?
Andy Hall sez, "The Confederate Battle Flag also was designed by William Porcher Miles explicitly to avoid a religious symbolism..." (emphasis added)
Well, not exactly.
In a letter to General Beauregard dated August 27, 1861, Miles said of the battle flag design, "This was my favorite. The three colors of red, white, and blue were preserved in it. It avoided the religious objection about the cross (from the Jews and many Protestant sects), because it did not stand out so conspicuously as if the cross had been placed upright thus."
Avoided NOT the "religious symbolism" but the religious OBJECTION about the cross. The cross as designed did not STAND OUT SO CONSPICUOUSLY as an upright cross, but it was STILL a cross. In fact, Miles uses the term THE cross.
He goes on to say, "Besides, in the form I proposed, the cross was more heraldic than ecclesiastical..." NOT that it was NOT ecclesiastical AT ALL -- just that it was MORE HERALDIC..
http://history.furman.edu/benson/civwar/show/MilesFlagLetter.htm
Do you think Andy's gonna correct his claim? Is grass plaid? Is the pope Hindu?
You can pretty much always expect the Confederacy haters to withhold something -- truth.
The Old Dominion welcomes home its Travelin' Flagger. I know she's glad to be home, too!
Ya know how neo-Confederates and conservative Tea Party types are soooooo VIOLENT, and always urging violence, according to Floggers and their ilk? And good, tolerant liberals are SO OPPOSED to violence? At least, that's what floggers and other leftists would have everyone believe.
You'll never see condemnation of this from Flogger types -- or if you do, it might be wise to check the temperature in Hell.
Of course, the floggers say they don't comment on current news and issues like this because it's not "civil war related." Never mind that they post OTHER non-civil war related stuff from time to time. What they DON'T post is anything that refutes the idea that conservatives are the spawn of Satan and liberals are pure as the driven snow....
How-some-ever, what's happened, and happening, with the Bundy ranch situation and other BLM issues might be more, um, civil war-related than people realize at present.
Confederate Murderers -- the new flogger evilization meme. Very useful for drumming up hatred for Confederates and those who honor them today....

Commenter Eddie informs me, "Miss Connie, Mr. Furguson's - Not War, But Murder is about the 1864 battle at Cold Harbor. More a criticism of Grant's repeated and futile frontal assaults than it is of Confederates."
Thanks for the correction, Eddie. My apologies to my readers for the error.

Do you think Andy's gonna correct his claim? Is grass plaid? Is the pope Hindu?
You can pretty much always expect the Confederacy haters to withhold something -- truth.

Drone Strike on Bundy Ranch?

Simpson Wannabe "Spelunker" Tiptoes ...
...Through Facebook
I wondered how long it would take before Simpson put a Facebook thread about the demands to remove flags from the chapel at Washington and Lee University on his flog, but it looks like somebody has beat him to it. Spelunker cherry picked certain comments and posted on his blog a screen shot of each followed by a typed version of the text, rather than screen shooting the whole thread.
It appears that combing the net for juicy white nationalist "news" and photos is a hobby of his. That's what can happen when you spend too much time in cold, dark, dank caves...
I would put him on my list of floggers to monitor, but this Simpson wannabe is an anonymous amateur so I'm not really interested... yet. We'll see how he comes along....
What I find most interesting, however, is that like most floggers most of the time, he ignores substantive comments or questions and doesn't even attempt to answer them. Like this one from the FB thread by yours truly:
Civil rights, as a subset of the leftist takeover and remaking of America, was about changing, tearing down the existing culture, from the start, not about being accepted and becoming a part of it. School names, school mascots, street names, flags, monuments ... all targets.
And Kevin Levin doesn't believe there is systematic targeting of Confederate symbols, heritage and history.

So, when they started the movement, why do you suppose they didn't tell us that changing what they don't like was part of the plan from the getgo?

Ah, yes, Kevin, Spelunker and all you floggers. It is a subset of the eradication and replacement of America itself, and apparently something flogger-types approve of.
Odds & Ends -- April 18, 2014
Simpson sez,
Connie, by the way, apparently still has no problem with atrocities, racism, bigotry, and violence against women. When her buddy John C. Hall Jr. uses the same language she claims to deplore in rap lyrics, she says nothing; recall that she once defended Pat Hines’s antiSemitism … really? Same goes for Connie defending Hall’s antiSemitism. Maybe she can spend some time telling us how her views differ from those of Glenn Miller.
...and....
Folks, when I post material showing that John C. Hall., Jr., uses the n-word, in a post she refers to later on at her blog, but she then has the effrontery to assert: “I’m unaware of John using such language,” we must assume that she’s a liar, stupid, or both.
Well, there's another example of slippery lying from the lying professor...or maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt and say he probably didn't understand what I meant.
I meant that I was unaware of John C. Hall using anti-Semitic language. I do know he considers Jewish folks in the north to be critical of the Christian South, and have read some of his comments to that effect. But that doesn't conform to my understanding of anti-Semitism, which is hatred of Jews and the fomenting of hatred for them in others. I don't believe criticism of blacks or Jews or anyone else automatically constitutes hatred of them.
I see a lot of stuff online I don't agree with, both from people who oppose and hate Southern heritage, and those who respect and defend it. Unlike Simpson, I don't think I'm under any obligation to rake people I basically agree with over the coals because of one or two differences of opinion. If he wants to equate my not doing that as approval or agreement, well, that's just Simpson exhibiting a flaw in his reasoning.
From a comment thread on Crossroads several years back, the ever pedantic Ms. Blough takes exception to my claim that Jewish folks overwhelmingly identify and vote Democrat, with this:
Ms. Chastain-Yet again, you’ve shown us your aversion to doing the most minimal research lest it conflict with your assumptions and stereotypical views. The Neo-Conservative movement which was enormously influential in both Bush (41) and Bush (43) administrations is heavily Jewish, especially in its founder and leadership. No group is monolithic in its views and to dismiss someone’s work unread because of such stereotypes is at best lazy and at worst blind prejudice.
The fact that D.C. neocons are heavily Jewish doesn't disprove my claim that the Jewish population of the US identifies and votes overwhelmingly Democrat:
From Pew Forums
(47% Democrat and 18% lean Democrat = 65% .... more than 2/3, which I would consider overwhelming, particularly when the remaining 34% is divided four ways).
From Jewish Virtual Library
The godfather of neo-conservatism was Irving Kristol, who quipped that a neo-con was a liberal who got mugged by reality. Yes, these folks refugeed out of the Democrat party and oozed into the Republican party, and took it places true conservatives did not approve of or wish to follow. That is why there is a Tea Party made of true conservatives today.
I'm famous ... again. Simpson's been tolling the Internet (so what else is new?) and he found a post by a demented leftist who was, shall we say, disapproving of my essays at The False Rape Society.(Apparently Simpson is fascinated with my essays for The False Rape Society).
The post is at a blog titled "A Radical Profeminist" run by a Julian Real, who describes himself thusly,"I am a white, class-privileged, Western academically and non-academically educated, intergender (and, much more importantly, anti-gender) male who is also gay, asexual, Jewish, and a survivor of childhood sexual assault and adult sexual exploitation. Contrary to Internet rumors, I don't support any form of genocide, including against any percent of the male population. I don't hate men (or women or transgender people). I am not anti-sex; I'm anti-sexxxism. I'm not anti-male; I'm against male supremacy."
The blog's header sez, "This blog exists to challenge the oppressive forces of white, heterosexual, and male supremacy. I understand each to be institutionalized ideologies that are mutually reinforcing. They work together as braided practices which are misogynistic, heterosexist, racist, genocidal, and ecocidal."
Real's demented rant about me is here. You can read it, but unless you share his demented outlook, you might not be able to understand it....
BTW, for those who are interested in my essays for The False Rape Society, you can read all of them here:
Just try to find where I've promoted rape in any of those essays, and know when Liberty Lamprey says I have, s/he's lying. Once again, I have to wonder if Simpson, Lamprey and all those who blow a gasket over criticism of false rape accusations are okay with innocent men going to prison for 20 or 30 years for rapes they did not commit.
Simpson has just made a Crossroads post -- a primer about me consisting of one-paragraph (or less) screenshots of comments by me in various comment threads around the Internet. I guess he's been tiptoeing through cyberspace again...
Apparently, he's putting them forth as examples of some kind of hate'n'racism or whatever. He cherry picked a lot of them from my comments here.
If you have some time and can stomach to read it, you'll find hate-comments there of the type that helped to inspire the idea for Gone South.
One thing I notice about his criticism of me is that he never attempts to refute what I say. I'm not surprised. It kinda reminds me of the time Levin and some of his floggerettes jumped all over me for using the term "the darker side of slavery" (they asked me, "What do you consider to be the brighter side?" or some such nonsense) and I had to remind them that a few comments before mine, it was LEVIN who had FIRST used that term, the darker side of slavery. Do you think anybody had jumped on HIM for using it? What a bunch if hypocrites...
You cannot expect reasonable, honest debate from Floggers and their followers. I guess they're skeered of it....
An exchange by Goad Gatsby and Simpson at the latter's flog:

Kill Whitey -- Liberty Lamp's Death Fetish
This photo was posted on Liberty Lamp(rey)'s Twitter feed, along with some other death-themed images. What are we supposed to think -- that s/he's just kiddin'?
You can see the others here.
So how come Brooks D. Simpson allows comments from people who have blatantly promoted race-based violence and death? I mean, if he's gonna hold Southern heritage folks responsible for everything spoken/written by anyone who waves a Confederate flag, or who doesn't wave a Confederate flag if they're racially violent, should he not be held to the same standard?
We've already seen that he allowed a registered sex offender to freely post in his comments while tolerating the lies about "kid touchers" from B. Parks.
Apparently, we're dealing with folks who think some violence and murder is more or less important that other violence and murder, depending on the color/race of victims and perps.
So, yes, I have good reason for believing he wants, or would welcome, and seemingly has no trouble with subtly encouraging, misfortune, even violence, against the VaFlaggers.
(And as I have noted before, that is one ugly broad in that picture. Needs a shave, too.)

Oh, the Righteous Indignation!
About my Notice in the right sidebar, Simpson sez, "At first, this made absolutely no sense, except to exhibit just how sick and strange Connie Chastain is. After all, who else would think these sorts of things, and who else would display such bizarre logic?"
Well, liberals display that kind of "bizarre logic" all the time. In fact, that is precisely the logic behind his hinting that I share the views of Glenn Miller. Oh, sure, he tried to weasel out of it but everyone understood that's what he meant.
But let's look at his self-defense a bit more closely. He denied SAYING it, but he didn't deny THINKING it, and I believe that's exactly his thought, and he was trying to give other people the same idea. Otherwise, why even bring up Glenn Miller?
Ask yourself that. What was his point in in bringing up Glenn Miller in a post about me?
And he's complaining about my plot for a thriller/suspense novel? Man, he can dish it out, but he sure can't take it
That is also the "logic" behind his accusations of racism and white supremacy aimed at the VaFlaggers, based on a few incidental contacts they've had with one or two individuals, and based on Flogger creative mis-interpretation of various things individual VaFlaggers have said.
In any case, Simpson thinks my story is simply an idea to write about violence against Southern heritage folks in order to make money. It isn't. (If making money was my only reason for writing, I would write stories that trash the South and white Southerners; New York editors love that kind of story...) There are, of course, countless authors, some of them very big-name authors, who make a lot of money writing about violence (and trashing the South). One wonders if Simpson has a problem with them, or if he reserves his disapproval for writers who portray proSoutherners as targets of violence.
We already know he disapproves of the notion of white Southerners being victimized by false accusation, even in fiction. Actually, he disapproves of the notion that white Southerners can be victims at all**, just as he appears to be allergic to the idea that minorities can be the victimizers. That is what happens when you view people through the lens of political correctness.
My view is that all humanity falls short, and that people from every color, sex, race, nationality and religion, etc., do both good and evil.
In any case, the idea for Gone South grew from many sources, notably some of the comment threads on news sites that followed Confederate flag or monument stories, or civil war articles -- and, yes, from gratuitous Flogger attacks on the VaFlaggers. What's interesting about Simpson's post is the notion that I think writing about "attempts commit violent acts on Confederate heritage advocates" would be “fuh-huh-hunnnn to write.”
Ah, no. It's clear from my blog post that what's going to be fuh-huh-hunnnn to write about are the circumstances that goad a sicko to violence. Obviously, Simpson knows this, and that's why he has to purposely say, "That’s right … she thinks writing about attempts to commit violent acts on Confederate heritage advocates would be 'fuh-huh-hunnnn to write,'" to make sure his readers put his spin on it. Otherwise, they might take it the way I meant it...
What's just as funny is Liberty Lamprey's comments. My challenge to the "young VCU grad student" is "picking on"? How is it picking on somebody to ask them to prove what they say? What's funnier than THAT, is that s/he calls me "twisted" -- this from a person, remember, with a death fetish plastered all over his/her Twitter feed....
I have to wonder about his/her use of the word "derangement." I mean, to think you can describe the offline life of someone you don't even know ... that's sounds deranged, to me. And if s/he really thinks my book covers are trashy (or that my books are), I have to wonder about his/her concept of "trashy." Presumably, the filthy lyrics of the "music" Goad Gatsby plays isn't trashy to him/her. I guess, in that case, my books are trashy because they depict marital fidelity (Southern Man) and not returning evil for evil (Sweet Southern Boys). What a perfect example of how upside down our culture has become under the destructive influence of leftism.
In any case, I do sincerely believe Brooks Simpson wishes misfortune upon Southern heritage folks, in particular, the VaFlaggers. He has already attempted to have Susan Hathaway lose her job and livelihood. Couple that blatant attempt with over two years of his relentless drumming up hatred for the VaFlaggers, and I have ample reason for my belief.

Maybe she can spend some time telling us how her views differ from those of Glenn Miller. (And, to a commenter): Your responses imply that I think they are identical. I haven’t said that. Nor have I said that she voices them the same way.The weaseling shown above is just another example of his gooey glibness. http://mybacksass.blogspot.com/2013/09/how-to-assess-gooey-glibness.html He purposely evokes certain ideas, but couches them in wording that he can later claim is simply innocent observation.
But let's look at his self-defense a bit more closely. He denied SAYING it, but he didn't deny THINKING it, and I believe that's exactly his thought, and he was trying to give other people the same idea. Otherwise, why even bring up Glenn Miller?

Kevin Levin sez, "Whine and complain all you want, but the reason the symbols and stories that you care most about are slowly disappearing is that you have not made a compelling case to maintain them in public spaces. Blame yourselves."
Total and utter bullcrap. They are disappearing because they are the target of a concerted and orchestrated campaign of purgation by the forces of liberalism and leftism that acquired almost irresistible power in this country subsequent to World War II. This campaign has occurred during my adult lifetime, and I have witnessed both its actions and its results.

A Look at the Leftist Mentality
Over at Tu Quoque Bakur's blog, his buddy Joey posts a comment about rap and hip hop, which includes this, "The fact is American Rock music was the counter culture, it was drugs, sex, and partying all the time (which notable involved a lot of drugs and sex)." And he cherry picks a hand full of bands and titles to "prove" his point.
Most rock music was not about sex and drugs. In fact, not even Grand Funk was all about sex, drugs and rock and roll.
To see for yourself, go here: http://www.musicoutfitters.com/topsongs/1955.htm Change the year in the address bar to any year of the rock and roll era, and look at the titles of the top songs for each year. Most do not extoll sex, drugs and rock'n'roll.
But this is what struck me...
So white people caused rap culture with things like Jim Crow laws and forced segregation? Took a while for the effect to catch up, didn't it, since those ended in the 50s and 60s, and rap/hip-hop came into prominance in the 90s -- a generation later. (And, really, who imagines prominent rappers are hopelessly unemployed and on welfare? They may make and then lose millions of dollars, and end up overdosed or shot, but don't blame that on Jim Crow and segregation.)
In fact, during Jim Crow and segregation (and later), black people made some of the most beautiful music going out over the airwaves. How is that possible, if Jim Crow and segregation causes ... hip hop? These tunes below, like most rock and roll tunes of the era, were about falling in love, about loss, heartbreak, joy.
It's no coincidence that Boomers were the last generation whose popular music ran high to love songs. (Note: I have chosen male singers and groups to contrast with Gatsby's "Ice Cube," who is a evidently a male person).
Lenny Welch -- Since I Fell for You (note; no lyrics about sex and drugs)
(So beautiful it gives me chills)
Phil Phillips -- Sea of Love (note; no lyrics about sex and drugs)
(One of the sweetest songs of the era)
Ray Charles -- Georgia On My Mind (note; no lyrics about sex and drugs)
Tommy Edwards -- All In the Game (note; no lyrics about sex and drugs)
The Platters -- The Great Pretender (note; no lyrics about sex and drugs)
Otis Redding -- Dock of the Bay (note; no lyrics about sex and drugs)
Marvin Gaye -- Ain't That Peculiar (note; no lyrics about sex and drugs)
Spinners -- Could It Be I'm Falling In Love (note; no lyrics about sex and drugs)
(This was "our" song when my hubs and I were courting.)
Tower of Power -- So Very Hard to Go (note; no lyrics about sex and drugs)
(I nearly always tear up when I hear this one.)
If "black kids are falling between the cracks, no one cares, and they turn to gangs to be their family and support, drugs to ease the pain, and a ‘rock and roll lifestyle’ in it’s purest form," the blame lies squarely with the left, who set out with a vengence to transform this country after WWII. It lies with LBJ's poverty programs that removed the father from the black home. All that's needed to confirm this is a look at the statistics. If there were inequities that need to be addressed, seems like it could have been done without destroying so much of the black community... no?
The single greatest indicator that a child will grow up in poverty is living in a single parent household. "In 2007, single-parent families were nearly six times more likely to be poor than married-parent families; that ratio has not significantly changed. The closest the Times comes to acknowledging the role of single parenthood in child poverty is to note that blacks and Hispanics have the highest rates of child poverty. Why that would be, the Times does not say, but it’s just what you’d expect from groups whose illegitimacy rates are 73 percent and 53 percent, respectively." http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/277977/child-poverty-msm-ignores-basic-truth-heather-mac-donald
Seventy-three percent illegitimacy rate! That didn't happen because of Jim Crow and forced segregation.
"It bears mention that the astronomical illegitimacy rate among African Americans is a relatively recent phenomenon. As late as 1950, black women nationwide were more likely to be married than white women, and only 9 percent of black families with children were headed by a single parent. In the 1950s, black children had a 52 percent chance of living with both their biological parents until age seventeen; by the 1980s those odds had dwindled to a mere 6 percent. In 1959, only 2 percent of black children were reared in households in which the mother never married; today that figure approaches 60 percent." http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/viewSubCategory.asp?id=1261

Rob and Joey have learned their leftist lessons well.
Sez Joey, "The rappers represent another dimension of American culture and life, a life that white people are uncomfortable with and generally afraid of but also played a huge part in causing thanks to things like Jim Crow laws and forced segregation. Do you think anyone wakes up in the morning and thinks “man I hope I get in a shoot out today while being hopelessly unemployed and on welfare!” because pretty sure that makes no one happy. The rappers of the 90′s especially came with a message: The hood is a rough, messed up, terrible place. Black kids are falling between the cracks, no one cares, and they turn to gangs to be their family and support, drugs to ease the pain, and a ‘rock and roll lifestyle’ in it’s purest form. But their Bob Dylan is Revered Run, their rolling stones is the Wu Tang Clan. A Tribe Called Quest and Snoop Dogg wrote their “American Band” and their “Stairway to Heaven”.
Just because she can’t relate to what she hears and is scared of what centuries of white oppression has wrought upon black culture doesn’t make it less American. In fact it might be more American for its honesty and raw emotion. After all this nation was founded on angry drunks throwing tea in a bay. What’s more American than inhebirated (sic) angry gangs trying to get by?

Rob and Joey have learned their leftist lessons well.
Rob "Tu Quoque" Bakur, THIS...
... has nothing to do with the Virginia Flaggers. It is dishonest of you in the extreme to say that it does.
Rob sez, "That’s right 'Toad,' be considerate and turn that profane music down.
Those people are trying to wave racially and religiously divisive
symbols over there. [sarcasm]"
Sorry, the fake sarcasm tag does not change the fact that you are lying about the VaFlaggers. Maybe YOU choose to characterize the flag that way, but do NOT indulge yourself in the leftist tactic of substituting YOUR perception for other people's intention. That is a form of lying.

Rob sez, "The Flaggers’ strongest argument against the counter protest, is that the rap music used on the streets of Richmond uses profanity. This is a hypocritical argument coming from these Southern Heritage advocates."
I have made no such argument, didn't mention profanity. Didn't use the word at all. I said FILTH, and that's what it is.
I have made no such argument, didn't mention profanity. Didn't use the word at all. I said FILTH, and that's what it is.
Bakur also sez, "Cursing, to me, has nothing to do with moral scruples as Connie Chastain alludes to." I didn't mention cursing, either. I said FILTH.
Interesting that Rob would have no problem with lyrics that show extreme disrespect for women, black folks, police officers, law and order, the language, honor, and sheer decency.
Also, the time I've spent to link Bakur to “rap music" is vanishingly small. My article about the filthy lyrics Goad was playing is 999 words long. Fourteen of those words are about Baker's roommate...
Again, not that any of this is of great importance to me ... except to show the, um, level of integrity of those who hate the VaFlaggers.

This Was Funny -- and Fun
From the Crossroads blog, statements by Simpson and some of his peanut gallery floggerettes -- and my replies:
~SIMPSON~
This week Connie Chastain thought it was proper to post profane and ugly lyrics on her blog, just as one time she posted pictures of mostly unclad women.
It's as proper for me to post the lyrics as it is for Goad Gatsby to blast them at the VaFlaggers and VMFA visitors. And I never heard Simpson bellyache about Corey's Confederate flag porno blog, which featured totally unclad women in vulgar poses....
For the record, I don’t know Goad Gatsby...
There is as much evidence that you know him and are buddy-buddy with the anti-flagger community in Richmond as there is that any of the VaFlaggers are friends with Matt Heimbach.
...and I don’t select his playlist.
But you don't object to it.
I think he’d be far more effective with clean lyrics (maybe he should add The Battle Cry of Freedom and John Brown’s Body/Battle Hymn of the Republic).
But until now, you haven't suggested this to him on your blog when he posted comments.
However, it seems to me that he has as much right to do what he does as the Flaggers have to do what they do...
I haven't said he doesn't. I was simply commenting on the ... ah ... nature ... of his, um, protest. As I said, it's unclear how such filthy lyrics convey disapproval of the Confederate battle flag.
...and if he’s violating any laws or ordinances, then by all means, ask one of Tripp Lewis’s friends in uniform to have a talk with him.
Don't know if he's breaking any laws; don't care. Just pointing out the "morality" that approves and promotes filthy lyrics which themselves promote promiscuity and war against the traditional family and religion. (Note another slimy Simpson tactic here -- the irrelevant reference to Tripp Lewis, made solely to denigrate. If Simpson were not out to denigrate and stir up animosity for the VaFlaggers, he would have said, "...if he's violating any laws or ordinances, then by all means, ask a law enforcement officer to have a talk with him." ).
Connie, by the way, apparently still has no problem with atrocities, racism, bigotry, and violence against women.
Another lie in a long list of Simpson's lies, which illustrate that he has no problem lying. What I have is little tolerance for the hypocrisy of the critics and evilizers of Southern heritage in particular and white Southerners in general.
When her buddy John C. Hall Jr. uses the same language she claims to deplore in rap lyrics, she says nothing;
I'm unaware of John using such language. However, I have taken John to task several times for things he has said. I wonder why Simpson has omitted this information?
... recall that she once defended Pat Hines from antiSemitism … really?
I wasn't aware that Pat was a target of anti-semitism. I have taken him to task for things he has said -- which Simpson hasn't acknowledged. However, there was one instance where something he wrote was characterized as anti-Semitism, and I disagreed that it was anti-Semitism.
Same goes for Connie defending Hall’s antiSemitism.
I haven't defended Hall's anti-Semitism. When the Due South group was new, I threatened him with expulsion from the group for such comments. Of course, Simpson won't tell his followers about that. He is a master at omitting what doesn't mesh with or reinforce his false presentations.
Maybe she can spend some time telling us how her views differ from those of Glenn Miller.
I don't know Glenn Miller's views. However, I don't believe in or support murder, if that's what Simpson lying about... I will note that this is a classic slimy Simpson tactic -- to attempt to connect people who have no connection in order to slime someone he doesn't like.
~LIBERTY LAMPREY~
Goad is a nice guy, I would much rather hang out with him than Connie’s KKK friends, and I think most sane people would.
I don't have any KKK friends. However, in 1971 or so, I worked with a man whom people said was a member of the KKK. I don't know how accurate that was. He was not a friend, he was a co-worker, in a completely different department, but our working relationship was civil. And Lamprey, I'd much rather you hang out with Goad and his depraved "rap scene" than me and my friends, whom you love to lie about.
~LYLE~
If Connie Chastain was a true anti-semite wouldn’t she be more vocal about it? Glenn Miller was loud and proud about it, and now he has murdered people he thought were Jews. Ms. Chastain is loud and proud about some things as well, but not about all of the same things Glenn Miller was loud and proud about. Ms. Chastain can speak for herself of course, but If she thinks Jews control the Federal government and whatever else lets hear it from her. In perusing her blog, I’m not really seeing much writing about how Jews control everything. If she didn’t like Jews like Miller didn’t like Jews, one would expect she would write about them as much as she writes about you and Kevin Levin. ;)
As far as I can see, nobody controls the federal government. It is totally out of control. I really don't spend a lot of time thinking about Jews (or the Amish or Baha'is, etc.), though I do think Jewish comedians are some of the funniest in the business. I very much support the right of Israel to exist.
~SIMPSON~
Connie’s weapon of choice is her keyboard and internet connection. She seems to excuse or explain away a lot of behavior normal people see as bigoted, while she seems obsessed with Gann Academy, claiming it’s segregated (although she really doesn’t mind the concept for people she likes). She’s not exactly a model of tolerance or consistency.
I disagree that normal people see such behavior as bigoted -- leftists liars and busybodies are the one who see it as bigoted. I'm not obsessed with Gann Academy; I do like to point out the hypocrisy of people who evilize white Southerners, though, as Kevin Levin does.
Actually, I personally don't mind Gann Academy's segregation, but I do have a problem with people accepting that segregation is okay, depending on who's doing it.
She’s been invited to highlight the differences that are more than distinctions. She has her own blog where she can do so. I’m sure she’ll express herself on the issue in characteristic fashion. :)
The differences are manifest. This is confirmed by the fact that Simpson has to lie about me in order to characterize me as having no problem with atrocities, racism, bigotry, and violence against women.
~JOHN FOSKETT~
She defended this statement by Hines:
“A large percentage of anti-south rhetoric and activities are by Jews, particularly from the northeast, that hate Christians. Since the south is a bastion of Christianity in America, they reserve their nastiest venom for us.”
As I’m sure you can see, that is indistinguishable from statements made in past history by legendary anti-semites. What say you about her defense/”explanation” of this statement?
My concept/understanding of anti-semitism is that it's hatred for Jews. Of course, with leftists, the definition of anti-semitism is the same as their definition of racism -- changeable, means whatever they want it to mean when they use it, so fluid and elastic, they can stretch it to cover any sort of statement or behavior they wish to characterize that way.
As I recall, I said that particular statement is not anti-Semitic -- that is, it does not express hatred of Jews. One may or may not agree with his assessment, but it doesn't express hatred for Jews.
~SIMPSON~
Connie’s all about hate.
Only in Simpson's purposeful deceit. I don't hate anybody. not even him.

A Challenge to Kat McNeal
Kat McNeal, the voice of Active RVA, whose name is Amber, I believe (but I'm not certain), sez on Facebook: "The Virginia Flaggers (group pictured) have friendly ties to ... Connie Chastain, who has no organization affiliation that I know of but mirrors their ideology perfectly ('the white race has contributed more to society than any other,' 'ban mosques and deport all Muslims,' that kind of shit)..."
Now, I'm a secessionist, and even I have more respect for the United States than those who wish to see it dominated and then destroyed by an insane ideology bent on world domination -- and that is Islam, folks. Kat is apparently a feminist. One wonders what she thinks of the Islamic treatment of women... Oh well, if there's one thing that's consistent about left-liberals, it is their embrace of cognitive dissonance.
But here's my challenge to McNeal. Apparently, her phrase,"the white race has contributed more to society than any other" is a misstatement of a meme I've posted on this blog before. Here's an updated version. Note that the wording is a verbatim copy of the first meme. The colors and design are changed to better showcase the new book cover.
My challenge to Kat is twofold.

My challenge to Kat is twofold.
First, state the meme accurately ... not "the white race" but "white people"; and not "society" but "the whole human race."
Second, prove it wrong. Please note, saying, "That's a racist statement!" or "You're a racist!" is not proof. Now, I know you can't prove a negative, but you can prove this wrong by identifying another group or groups that has/have done more for the human race than white people.
Do it, Kat. Name them and their accomplishments.
Do it, Kat. Name them and their accomplishments.
Try to do it before hell freezes over.
Thanks.
What Happened....
...to Spe-lunk-ing's post on the infamous amplifier-kicking incident?
I visited it a few days ago... had all kinds of images and photos, and lots of important text....Lots. More than I had time to read at the time. So I bookmarked it for later reading. I go back tonight and ... IT'S GONE!
He seems zeroed in on Matt Heimbach and the League of the South right now. As far as I know, you don't HAVE to take down previous blog entries to put up new ones. I didn't see any explanation for why the previous one was gone.
It's just ... gone. Sure would be interesting to know why Spe-lunk-ing felt it necessary to take it down....

Simpson sez,
I guess Simpson thinks this is BIG NEWS -- at least, enough to blog about it. The only reason I mention his bringing it up is to point out a few things.
First, I'm not confused where I stand on it.
Second, Southern nationalists, like Southern heritage folks, are not mental clones. Apparently flogger types expect us to be, which illustrates something about THEM. They are leftists, and leftists are trapped in a group-think hive mentality. Despite their verbal devotion to "diversity," they are positively allergic to DIVERSITY of THOUGHT or OPINION.
Third, it illustrates Simpson's desire to denigrate, his lust for the put-down, his compulsion to smear -- even when there's nothing to denigrate, put down or smear.
Fourth, although the extent of his intent was to ridicule me and Southern nationalism, some of his readers find the subject of Russia and Ukraine worthy of more serious discussion. Lyle Smith notes, "I think besides being a Southern nationalist Connie Chastain is also an American nationalist. 'Russkies, go home' sounds like some good ole fashion American nationalist anti-Soviet speak."
Indeed. I may have grave differences with the conduct of the U.S. government and its military excursions, and while I abhor what leftism has done to the culture of the USA, I AM an American.*** I fondly remember the U.S. in its better days. I honor what it used to be, and what it was supposed to be.
Fifth, I've noted this before, but I'll note it again. Simpson, I wouldn't want to be like you....

Southern nationalists seem a bit confused* as to where they stand on the situation in Crimea. Southern nationalist Connie Chastain offers this statement: Ukraine for Ukrainians, Russkies, Go HOME! Obama, stay out of it.** Meanwhile, the League of the South supports Russia’s acquisition of Crimea through a referendum, because it’s a secessionist movement. Indeed, I’ve heard that Dr. Michael Hill has invited Vladimir Putin to address the League at its next national meeting.

~ Rap on the Boulevard ~
My apologies in advance for the utter filth of the lyrics posted below the video, but it is necessary for people to understand what is being blasted at the VaFlaggers, VMFA visitors, including children, and innocent passersby. Exactly how this conveys someone's disapproval of the Confederate battle flag isn't clear. What it conveys is extreme disrespect for women, black folks, police officers, law and order, the language, honor, and sheer decency. Note that the protester, Goad Gatsby, and his comments are embraced at Crossroads ... where he has said he loves black people. The lyrics below sure sound like love, don't they...And note, this is the "rap scene" Rob Baker sez his roommate is "into."
The video was shot by Judy Parsons Smith, and is posted here with her permission.
One of the "songs" being played by Goad Gatsby in the video above, in the sidewalk adjacent to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, is In the Late Night Hour. The lyrics follow.
In the Late Night HourWritten by Hugo, Chad / Williams, Pharrell L / Wright, Eric /Young, Andre Romell Patterson, Lorenzo Jerald / Jackson, O'shea.
When you see me on ya block, call the police
Let them motherfuckers know here come the beast
Oh, in the late night hour
Straight out of Compton, a crazy motherfucker named Ice Cube
And I'm rollin' with the motherfuckin' Neptunes
When I'm caught off, I got a sawed-off
A midget bitch that'll suck a niggas balls off
You too girl if ya fuck with me
I'm gettin' head in gotta lane doin' sixty
About to crash like Teddy Pendergrass
Mama said, "A hard head make a tender ass"
To all the dogs that bark a lot
Who don't give a fuck if it's dark or not
We'll be creepin' in the parking lot
Motherfuckers don't know if I can park or not
'Cause I circle like vultures, La Costa Nostra
Bumpin' all the baddest bitches like I'm 'posed to
What's yo name, what's yo number and ya culture
You need nuts in yo face like a poster
If you in a club nigga then shit bang
If you on the streets nigga then shit bang
If you on the block nigga then shit bang
And if it's what ya need boy, do ya thang
If ya in a Range Rov then shit bang
If you in that 600 then shit bang
If you on that Steel Horse then shit bang
But if it's what ya need boy, let it bang
Fuck the police comin' straight from the underground
Fuckin' pig wanna act like he like me now
In '86 same bitch tried to lock me down
And motherfuckers wanna ask why I'm cocky now
To all the bitches that think they bootylicious
I think they nutritious, I think they do dishes
I'm makin' three wishes or takin' they pictures
And spendin' they riches and fuckin' they bitches
Egomaniac, lil' homies call me Brainiac
Ice Cube's an asshole and it ain't a knack
So take a hit of that and remember that
Where my motherfuckin' niggas and my bitches at
In the late night hour hit the front to back
Check the motherfuckin' rims on the Cadillac
On the ass attack, can you keep it tight
And if the head right, nigga there every night
If you in a club nigga then shit bang
If you on the streets nigga then shit bang
If you on the block nigga then shit bang
And if it's what ya need boy, do ya thang
If ya in a Range Rov then shit bang
If you in that 600 then shit bang
If you on that Steel Horse then shit bang
But if it's what ya need boy, let it bang
This is for my niggas that's schemin' for cash
And lookin' for ass, in the late night hour
This is for my people that's countin' they riches
And pickin' up bitches, in the late night hour
This is for my niggas that's countin' they cash
And lookin' for ass, in the late night hour
This is for my people that's schemin' for riches
And pickin' up bitches, in the late night hour
So check it and everybody get naked
This might be a nigga last record
But respect it 'cause I could do it all night playa
I'm all fight playa, you all spite playa
It's all right playa, a nigga might care
But to catch me you gotta do a light year
Ice Cube insane in the membrane
Baby, go ahead please do the damn thang
We gonna get chu' high nigga
Our rhymes will get chu' by nigga
Tell me if I qualify nigga
To bail in like SuperFly
I wanna get that, cop that, buy that, drive that
You want it too but don't know where to start at
Fuckin' with me, nigga better bring his hard hat
Nigga where ya heart at, leave ya on the tarmac
Where my top at and my nigga Mack
Ridin' shotgun, with the top gun
Don't catch a hot one soon as he spot one
Westside Connection is a doctrine
This ain't another club song
Or love song that y'all can fuck on
So get the fuck on
A nigga rich can't believe the bullshit that I'm stuck on
If you in a club nigga then shit bang
If you on the streets nigga then shit bang
If you on the block nigga then shit bang
And if it's what ya need boy, do ya thang
If ya in a Range Rov then shit bang
If you in that 600 then shit bang
If you on that Steel Horse then shit bang
But if it's what ya need boy, let it bang

What's really hilarious and pathetic at the same time is that Simpson and his ilk think they are morally superior to heritage folks.

Bubba celebrating at the Waffle House |
Ft. Pillow in the Floggosphere
Simpson, Hall and their peanut gallery floggerettes are bellyaching and bemoaning Confederate violence at Ft. Pillow. I left a comment at each blog which, of course, will not be posted:
Ha.
Simpson actually posted my comment, and followed it with his usual, typical lies. Sez he:
I have not celebrated and do not celebrate atrocity and cold-blooded murder; Simpson knows this so he knows he's lying, but when has that ever stopped him?
I simply quoted the orderer of murders and master arsonist of the Union Army.
Note that Sherman, practicing an early form of political correctness, "deplored" it way, way, way after the fact, in 1879 and 1880 when, actually, HE ORDERED, INSTIGATED AND PARTICIPATED IN ATROCITY AND COLD-BLOODED MURDER during the war itself.
Illustrating yet another cornerstone of the yankee (and flogger) mentality -- do as I say, not as I do.

And so Connie Chastain now sanctifies war atrocities. What a surprise. However, Connie, you might recall Sherman’s actual comment, delivered in 1879 at a commencement at a military academy:Simpson continues:
(Sherman's arse-covering snipped)
Sherman would later return to this theme at a veterans’ reunion in 1880:
(More of Sherman's arse-covering snipped)Simpson concludes: Sherman doesn’t celebrate atrocity and cold-blooded murder, as you do: he deplores it.

What a Gulli-Bull, What a Nin-Cow-Poop....
Al Mackey sez, "The RVA post identifies the flaggers as a group of white supremacists. If that is not the case, then Ms. Hathaway needs to prove it."
Al, Austin identifies you as a fraud and a liar. If that is not the case YOU NEED TO PROVE IT.
Besides, who gives a flip WHAT the RVA post identifies? Who is the RVA poster that we or anyone should pay a bit of attention to him/her?
The "RVA" post Mackey is talking about is from "Active RVA" which is the personal blog of somebody who identifies herself as "Kat," a "cisgender woman" and "socialist." Without a last name, the blogger basically renders her blog useless -- at least, as far as VaFlaggers info is concerned..
Mackey also cites "Spe-lunk-ing", who is also anonymous and therefore not a reliable or reputable source re: the flaggers.. Spe-lunk-ing does identify Kat as "Kat McNeal of Active-RVA," (why can't she do it on her own blog?) but that still tells us nothing.
Why? Because there is no information given on either McNeal's or Spe-lunk-ing's credentials, no good reason at all given for why anyone should believe anything the say about the VaFlaggers -- or anything else, for that matter. The only thing we know is that they are against/opposed to the VaFlaggers ... so how reliable can their reports about them be?
I'm truly amazed at how people of seeming normal intelligence are so easily duped by something on the Internet. When did Americans get so gullible? I don't know how many times I've had to post to Facebook threads proving that the Dearborn MI city council did NOT vote to "fully implement" Sharia law ... that people in Hannah, Wyoming have NOT been microchipped for Obamacare implementation ... that Gen. Petraeus did NOT stage a coup in D.C. ... that a horrifying photo of a screaming man being tortured with a cattle prod is NOT Ambassador Chris Stevens ... that Florida's four "FEMA Camps" (on the infamous list of 800 FEMA camps nationwide) do NOT exist ...
And yet people believe this stuff. They don't take even minimal time to determine whether the source is real or bogus.
Makes you wonder how many of the floggers get their news from the National Report. I mean, if they'll believe Kat and Spe-lunk-ing, there's no reason for them to NOT believe Nigel J. Covington III at the National Report....

Seeking Photo or Video Documentation
The image below is a screenshot of a blog titled ACTIVE RVA. You can't read the text at this resolution but I have copied it below the image (or you can read it at the Active RVA blog).
It's interesting that whoever wrote the article starts out with fairly decent journalism, written in the active voice, although it is blatantly biased and untruthful. Still, it answers, sort of, the old journalistic standard questions -- who, what, where, when.
As it is written, we don't know who caught the incident on camera, we don't know how many witnesses there were, and who they were, and how they came to be in the area where the incident occurred. And we don't know who filed the police report and who knows the license plate number.
Speaking of which, the funniest thing about this passive-voice passage is "the man's license plate number is known." What a surprise, huh.... ALL license plate number are known ... by somebody ... somewhere.
I had never encountered the term "cisgender" before now, so I googled it, and best I can tell, it's a newfangled word for normal heterosexual.
Whatever.
Anyway, if anyone who reads my blog happens to run across images or video of Gatsby's amp being destroyed, please send it to me, or send me a link. Thanks.
The article says, in part:
Anti-Confederate’s Amp Destroyed by Klansman Virginia FlaggerThis does not specify what kind of camera caught the incident -- still or video -- but I am interested in seeing the images or video, if anyone can supply them, or a link to them.
This past weekend, a man on a motorcycle destroyed an amp belonging to Goad Gatsby, by kicking it. After he did so, he rode away. Gatsby was taking part in the weekly anti-Confederate Rap Battle counterdemonstration against our local white supremacists, the Virginia Flaggers.
The incident was caught on camera, and there were many witnesses. A police report has been filed, and the man’s license plate number is known.
It's interesting that whoever wrote the article starts out with fairly decent journalism, written in the active voice, although it is blatantly biased and untruthful. Still, it answers, sort of, the old journalistic standard questions -- who, what, where, when.
But the second paragraph lapses into the passive voice, and when that happens, I always get very suspicious. The passive voice can be used, and often is used, to withhold pertinent information. A more journalistic account would read: "Many people in the area witnessed the incident, and Bob Smith caught it on camera. Gatsby wrote the man's license plate number and filed a police report."
As it is written, we don't know who caught the incident on camera, we don't know how many witnesses there were, and who they were, and how they came to be in the area where the incident occurred. And we don't know who filed the police report and who knows the license plate number.

I am assuming this stellar piece of journalism was written by the blogger, who is identified only as Kat. The Who Runs This Blog? page contains this information:
Hi, I’m Kat. I run this blog, and I started Active-RVA in March of 2012. ... I want to be up front about who I am and what you can expect from me: I’m a white, cisgender woman attending Virginia Commonwealth University; I got my undergrad degree there in English in 2013, and am currently working toward a grad degree through the Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs. I’m a socialist.A socialist. What a surprise.
Thanks.
