Corey I need you to help me out with the Global Anti Slavery Initiative Foundation. GASIF! Should have it setup by the summer when you have free time and will be expecting you to participate in the on going effort to stomp out slavery today. Since you are the expert in the topic you have a responsibility higher then yourself that you must serve as well or be deemed a hypocrite.
Tripp...bugger off...I am not helping you with anything. Maybe you should do it in the name of your confederate ancestor who fought a war to keep slaves.
When have I ever said that I don't care about current slavery issues? I focus on Early American Slavery because of its connection and causes concerning the War of the Rebellion.
What I do or don't do about modern slavery is...as you would put it Connie, none of your business. Same goes for Trippy Lewis.
What a grim-looking bunch those five, still it must be a real boon for the National Retarded Association to offer them a nod on your blog Connie. You are to be congradulated for your fairness and inclusiveness. :)
I don't believe you, Corey. I don't think you care about current slavery issues at all. You're not even willing to verbally denounce it in a comment here.
You focus on early American slavery because you see it as a useful tool for evilizing white Southerneres.
It explains that the restriction of the flags in Lexington was not the will of the people but the work of a tiny cabal of liberal South-haters and evilizers of white Southerners who manipulated the political process to get their way.
I see you took the photograph from my Ft. Sumter visit. I do love Southern history, being a Southerner myself, for its personal and intriguing stories. However, unlike certain people pictured on your post, I tend not to ignore segments of that history. I leave that job to the flaggers.
Of course you don't ignore segments of history, Robert -- you just rewrite and distort them, to join with your fellow Floggers in making white Southerners, especially Confederates and their modern defenders, the most evil people in the history of God's earth -- except, of course, for those you make exceptions for...
I do not "rewrite" or "distort" "segments" of history in any such manner. I present history for what it is. I research and draw conclusions. If there are varying academic opinions I include those for debate. I talk about slavery because it is a part of American history, not because I choose to focus on that above all else. In actuality, I am more of a military history guy. To demonize southerners is to demonize myself since I am a southerner. I have Confederate (state militia) and Unionist ancestors in various parts of my family tree. So to say I am demonizing an aspect of my own history is ludicrous at best.
Well, duh, Rob. I DID say, when it comes to demonizing, there are some white Southerners you Floggers make exceptions for. And, yeah, you do rewrite and distort segments of history, and more than once, you've taken the path of making the South look bad and the north look sinless and angelic.
Love the pictures...it is like a "Sexiest Historians" list from People magazine. Who will it be this year?
ReplyDeleteWow, Corey! Hahahaha. I never realized what a comedian you are! It's a side of you you've kept well concealed until now!

ReplyDeleteSo the only slaves you care about, Corey, are those that don't exist anymore? LOL. What colossal hypocrisy...

Ha, Carl. I don't think they much care for being included on my blog as they are.
ReplyDeleteI hereby denounce all slavery past, present and future.
ReplyDeleteI also denounce the slavery that currently occupies Connie's mind to understanding of complex historical information.
How is that?

Looks like a wall of shame with these characters put together. I am surprised sunlight has not wilted the fungus of hatred they spew.
ReplyDeleteCorey, the Bible says everyone is a slave -- either a slave of Jesus or a slave to sin... You denounce being a slave of Jesus?
ReplyDeleteCorey sez, "I also denounce the slavery that currently occupies Connie's mind to understanding of complex historical information. How is that?"
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't make sense.
Slavery doesn't occupy my mind. That better describes you and your fellow Floggers.
Nice.
